STAFFROOM | ABOUT ELI

Website: www.elionline.com

Our publishing house ELI (European Language Institute) came into being in 1977, as a logical development of the innovative teaching experiences of the Euroschool, a network of private schools whose main objective was to teach English to students at a young age.
The first publication of this publishing house was Kid, an original combination of cartoon strips, games, illustrated word lists and news items. There followed various publications in Latin: the magazines in the language of Cicero presented famous cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Snoopy and Popeye, and they made our name known around the world.
Since that time, our philosophy has been motivation - to produce a greater interest in the foriegn language on the part of the students and, consequently, to facilitate their learning.

As well as those magazines which are now part of our history, and which are produced in up to six learning levels for each language (English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Italian and Latin), our catalogue of products includes a vast range of other successful linguistic publications:

Innovative courses for elementary schools
Our original Flip-Posters
Activity books
Audio and video cassettes
Readers
Games
Support materials for teachers

We have 60 distributors in Italy and 58 in other countries, which provide our publications with an efficient and structured distribution.
Our goal for the new millennium is to continue to offer language teachers and students an innovative type of study material which is ever more efficient in satisfying their needs, and which develops alongside the newest teaching methods.
