What is it?
What is it? is a photo card game which helps students learn new words, describe everyday objects and talk about the materials they are made of.
The game helps players to increase their vocabulary, develop their ability to describe everyday objects and talk about different types of materials.
The game can also be used to practise interrogative, affermative and negative verb forms.
The game consists of 132 cards divided into two decks containing 55 cards: one deck of cards with photos of objects and a deck of clue cards with 5 clues on each card to help guess the object. There are also 11 material cards and 11 help cards providing suggestions for possible questions and answers.
• The instruction booklet contains instructions and suggestions for a series of games and activities in the classroom, at home with friends or during online lessons.
• A video tutorial is available on line, on the ELI multi-media channel.
